What To Bring

                                 Camp ARCHES

     Continuing our tradition, we are providing a no cost, health education and safety camp for disadvantaged children within San Joaquin County
The camp educates children in health and safety issues through classes such as Whales Tales (water safety), BAT (Basic Aid Training), Gun Avoidance, Diversity, and good Nutrition.

What to Bring to Camp ARCHES

The camp does not assume responsibility for personal items brought to camp, but every effort will be made to see that campers will return home with all their belongings.

 

 

DO NOT PACK :   FOOD, TOYS, GAMES, AND ELECTRONICS OF ANY KIND.

 

 

Medications: Give to Camp Check-In Staff when dropping off your child to camp.

 

 

DO PACK:

o          Sleeping bag, pillows and case

o          Casual clothes; shorts, T-shirts, sweatshirt, jeans/long pants

o          1 jacket and at least one sweater (its cold at night)

o          Extra undergarments and socks

o          Tennis shoes/sneakers; one old pair to walk in water

o          Swimsuit/shorts/water shoes (NO SANDALS PLEASE)

o          Hat/Cap or visor

o          2 plastic bags (one for wet clothes, one for dirty)

o          Flashlight/extra set of batteries

o          Personal toiletries/ soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant,

Hair brush (comb), feminine hygiene products, tissues,

unscented shampoo and lotions

o          Waterproof sun block (SPF 35) lip balm & insect repellent

o          Medications

 

 

Optional:

o          Water Bottle/water packs

o          Backpack

o          Personal first aid kit

o          Handkerchief or Kleenex

o          Camera and film

 

 

Please label names on ALL items.   MARK ALL CLOTHING WITH SEWN ON TAPE, OR WRITE YOUR CAMPER’S NAME IN WATERPROOF INK.

 

 

Pack inexpensive or used, older clothing.   Many families buy used clothing at Salvation Army, Goodwill or Thrift Stores to pack for camp.   These stores always carry plenty of useful inexpensive clothes.   At camp, things get easily worn out or sometimes get lost so; packing new or good clothing is NOT advised.   We will not be responsible for lost items.
